World Cup Bigger on Facebook than Oscars, Super Bowl and Olympics Combined

AlfonsoGomezBroker.com - Football (or Soccer as we know it here in the U.S.) is the king of all sports worldwide. Though the U.S. is still behind on the knowledge and style of play compared to our football power houses like Brazil, Germany, Italy, etc. The U.S. is gaining ground, fast.

Specifically, 141 million people had 459 million interactions (posts, comments and likes) about the soccer tournament from June 12-18 on Facebook. Super Bowl XVIII prompted 185 million interactions from 50 million people; the Winter Olympics had 120 million interactions from 45 million people; and the Oscars had 25.4 million interactions from 11.3 million people.
