AlfonsoGomezBroker.com - It have been many years since I've done a short sale. During the foreclosure years I did many short sales and all banks were very difficult to work with. Even on top of that there were still a handful of banks that were complete nightmares and just unreasonable. Ocwen Financial Corp was one of the worst.
These bank did not follow, their own rules nor did they follow, California's rules and laws. They simply did whatever it felt like doing which was 100% unfair to homeowners that were trying to do the right thing by short selling their home.
On Tuesday, Jan 12, 2015, California's Department of Business Oversight is moving to halt Ocwen's operations in the state after the company failed to provide documentation about its compliance with California's Homeowner Bill of Rights.
Surprise surprise... NOT REALLY. Ocwen already settled with the State of New York on other violations and I don't think they're going to allow their license suspension to go through without forking out more money to keep their business going in one of their largest business states. This bank has too much money and they play by their own rules...
